Listing Title Counter
Whether your title survives the mobile search grid and the category limit.
How it reads in the mobile search grid
Your title will appear here.
What the counter is checking
Length against the marketplace guideline. Titles over the limit get truncated in search, and in some categories get suppressed altogether.
What survives on mobile. Most Indian marketplace traffic is mobile, where roughly the first 60–70 characters are what a buyer actually reads in the grid. Everything after that is for the algorithm, not the human.
Common rejections. Promotional language, all-caps words, special characters and repeated keywords are the most frequent causes of a title being rejected or quietly rewritten.
The ordering that works
Brand → Product type → Key attribute → Size or pack → Variant
The brand goes first because it is what buyers scan for. The key attribute goes third because that is where the decision is made. Everything decorative goes last, where truncation costs nothing.
What a counter cannot tell you
Whether the attribute you led with is the one your buyer actually compares on. That comes from the search terms and the questions on your own detail page — which is what listing optimization starts from.
This is the simple version.
